06.06.2011	Altyn Asyr Project in Turkmenistan In the period from March to May 2011 "Kaskad-Telecom” has been involved in the project Altyn Asyr (Golden Age) in Turkmenistan. The project was supposed to deploy a telecommunications network based on Nokia Siemens Networks equipment and its integration with the existing Huawei and Siemens networks. The network consists of several core sites in Ashgabat, Mary, Turkmenabat and others, including equipment 2G SGSN, NTMS (HP DL 380), c@o Mediate (Sun server), MSS, MGW, NetAct Cluster, etc. as well as SDH transmission systems using hiT7035 and Router Cisco 7606.
16.01.2011	Huawei Ukraine: main partnership results 2011 In 2010 the installation and testing of Huawei OptiX PTN 1900 Packet Transport Platform was completed. This Packet transport platform is focused on the transition to an "all-IP" strategy and provides MTS mobile operator with traffic transport solutions and future fixed mobile convergence, FMC. Since 2010, the engineers of Kaskad-Telecom provide installation and commissioning of HW MW RTN900-series equipment for Megafon TM in the Russian Federation. Also in 2010, Kaskad-Telecom is working on upgrading of the network for the company"Utel" on the base of the Huawei BTS3900/DBS3900, HW MWRTN900 Series, OSN2500, OSN3500 equipment.
06.01.2010	Huawei Ukraine: main partnership results 2009 During 2009 Kaskad-Telecom have installed and commissioned three new DWDM lines (based on Metro 6100 equipment ) for “Telesystems of Ukraine”, a Uktainian telecom operator. In 2009, a new DWDM line (based on equipment Huawei Optix Metro 6100) was built for MTS, one of the leading Uktainian operator. In the city of Lugansk a new generation of Huawei Optix OSN 6800 – a new Intelligent Multiservice Platform WDM, based OTN / ASON, - has been installed and put into operation. This platform allows for the network operators to move from traditional voice networks to data transfering. On the DWDM lines the reconstruction, based on Huawei Metro 6100 equipment is being completed. It will provide the speed of 40G on allocated wavelengths. Also in 2009, Kaskad-Telecom took part in modernizing of the BeST network in the Republic of Belarus on the basis of the Huawei BTS3900/DBS3900, HW MW RTN600 Series. Since 2009, our engineers are carring out installation of Huawei SGSN Serving GPRS Support Node, the equipment which allows simultaneous access for 2.5G and 3G subscribers and Huawei GGSN Gateway.
02.19.2009	Building “turnkey” switching nodes for mobile communications Kaskad-Telekom possesses all necessary resources for fulfilling the complete complex of works on building of mobile communication switching nodes (MSC, BSC, HLR, MSC- S, M -MGw, SGSN and the like). The complex of works includes inspection of objects, production of design documentation, installation, testing and integration of the telecommunication equipment manufactured by Ericsson, Huawei and other companies.
01.23.2009	Huawei co-operation outcome in 2008 Huawei Strategic Cooperation Forum 2008 in CIS Region was held in Moscow 17.10.2008 where our company was awarded as BEST PARTNER. This is the result of successful co-operation between Kaskd-Telecom and Huawei.More than 400 SDH multiplexers and 20 DWDM lines were installed and integrated into MTS, Astelit and TSU networks in 2008.40 sites were updated or extended.
08.04.2008	Establishing of DWDM network service centers Kaskad-Telecom has successfully realized a project on the development of DWDM network for Astelit, Ukrainian mobile operator (TM Life). The works were carried out on " turnkey]" basis: - the site aquisition; - the preparation of design documentation; - the transportation of equipment; - installation and integration of equipment; - putting equipment to use with the complete set of operational documentation. The project was executed on the base of the Optix Metro 6100 equipment (production of Huawei) with the use of ROADM technology. For fulfilling of the works on the post-warranty maintenance of the network our company have established 3 network service centers in the cities of Donetsk, Odessa and Dnepropetrovsk.
06.25.2008	Chromatic and Polarization Mode Dispersion Measurements on Fiber Optic Telecommunication Lines Our company provides services on testing and measurements of fiber optic telecommunication lines: from cable attenuation and reflectography evaluation to chromatic dispersion (CD) and polarization mode dispersion (PMD) measurement. These measurements make it possible to estimate with utmost accuracy the types of equipment during deploying of high-speed telecommunication lines and minimize construction & maintenance costs. Having complete optic fiber data available makes it possible to substantially increase the distance and speed of data transmission.
03.21.2008	Seven DWDM data highways put into operation During last 6 months, by our company together with Huawei, seven DWDM data highways were successfully turned over to the customers (the leading mobile operators of Ukraine) .The data highways were made with the use of Huawei METRO 6100 and METRO6040 multiplexers. During this period the Kaskad-Telecom’s specialists have installed and commissioned 57 sites, with total length of highways exceeding 3000 km. The works were made on turn-key basis: - Site investigation; - Development of design documentation; - Transportation of the equipment to the site; - Installation , testing and commissioning of the equipment; - Preparation of acceptance and operational documentation

12.13.2007	Disguising antennas as roof-top chimneys People want to be able to use their cell phones wherever they go, but they don't want to see antennas all over the place. To make the technology invisible, Kaskad-Telecom have designed and offers to iterested customers a standardized, low cost solution to disguise roof-top antennas as ordinary looking chimneys.
10.04.2007	Developing of Wi-Fi and WiMAX networks Our company provides services in developing of Wi-Fi and WiMAX wireless access networks. The works include: - Site search and site acquisition; - Development of design documentation including all necessary approvals by the authorities; - Installation, testing and commissioning of the equipment.
10.01.2007	Development of 3G network for PEOPLEnet, "Telesystems of Ukraine" The first stage of CDMA 2000 1x EV-DO Rev-A standard 3G network development has been completed by Kaskad-Telecom's specialists together with engineers from Huawei and "Telesystems of Ukraine". In the context of this stage more than 140 BTS3606 radio base stations were tested and integrated. As a result of the first stage more than 50 000 subscribers were afforded an opportunity to use high-speed Internet and mobile TV.
08.27.2007	Integration of power supply systems by implementation of Power Split ™ technology June 14 2007. For the first time in Ukraine, specialists of "Kaskad-Telecom" have successfully realized integration of Emerson™ Power System Actura® 48701 with an existing power system ( Power Split ™ technology) in the network of a leading mobile Ukrainian operator. The integration (including updating of the software) was performed in hot mode without disconnection of powered equipment.
02.07.2007	More than 30 NERA microwave links were installed at STM-1 data transmission lines During 2006 in the context of the contract between our company and NOKIA our specialists have installed and handed over to ASTELIT (one of major Ukrainian mobile operator) 32 links of NERA microwave equipment. The total length of data transmission lines amounts to 700 kilometers.
01.25.2007	Application of ASON techniques to optical networks Specialists of Data Transmission department are carrying out upgrading of optical telecommunication network of UMC, one of major Ukrainian mobile operator. Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) techniques together with Automatic Switched Optical Network (ASON) facilities are employed. Application of ASON to data transmission network makes it more flexible and intellectual as compared to traditional optical network. Diversity of control levels ensures more high-speed switching, fault location and self restoration in case of network fault. The use of this technique makes it possible for telecom operators to reduce capital and maintenance costs, to increase profits and at the same time to raise reliability of provided services.
11.16.2006	Providing measurements of antenna and feeder parameters Our company provide services in installation quality control and antenna and feeder parameters measurements on new and existing telecommunications sites. We use measuring devices of world leading manufacturers which ensure precision radio measurements of Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) and Distance to Fault (DTF) in 780 MHz – 2500 MHz frequency range.
08.08.2006	Design department: the first steps In October, 2005 in view of expanding the scope of work to building telecommunication sites on “turnkey” basis, in Kaskad-Telecom’s organization chart appeared a new Design Department. At present time the Design Department have issued design documentation packages for construction of more then twenty base stations.
07.04.2006	CDMA complex started operation In accordance with the contract between «Huawei» and «Telesystems of Ukraine» our company have accomplished installation, testing and commissioning of CDMA MSC+BSC complex in Kiev. The complex includes following subsystems: - CDMA MSC v. 61 ( Mobile Switching Center); - CDMA MSC v. 61 ( Mobile Switching Center); - Seven base stations. At present time new base stations are being put in operation to expand network coverage.
06.14.2006	Contract with “Siemens Ukraine” signed Continuously increasing is the list of Kaskad-Telecom’s business partners. Newly signed contract between our company and “Siemens Ukraine” made it possible to get an order for construction of base stations for Ukrainian mobile operator UMC.
04.17.2006	Installation, testing and integration of DWDM transmission system “Kaskad - Telecom” together with Huawei Tech. Со LTD have completed installation, testing and integration of DWDM system at Dnipropetrovsk-Donetsk-Kharkiv transmission line for Ukrainian mobile operator UMC. The number of installed sites totals 9. For OADM multiplexers Huawei Metro 6100 equipment was used, for OLA - Huawei Metro 6040. The system was designed to ensure 10 Gbps for 40 wavelengths. The works were accomplished under the direction of leading expert Boris Volskiy.
04.03.2006	A MSC+BSC switching complex has been installed in Khmelnitskiy city A MSC+BSC switching complex of Eriksson’s production has been installed in Khmelnitskiy city. The works were accomplished without delay and and with good quality. The customer highly appreciated our new supervisor Vladimir Cherniak who recently took a training course at Ericsson Education Center in Croatia
03.14.2006	A group of four supervisors employed with our company have successfully completed the training courses. A group of four supervisors employed with our company have successfully completed the training courses in Ericsson Education Center, Croatia. Certificates were obtained in installation, operation and maintenance of ACTURA Power Systems as well as in Installation Technique BYB 501 GSM RNC EAR.
03.14.2006	Kaskad –Telecon has successfully accomplished installation of Ericsson’s SDH. Kaskad –Telecon has successfully accomplished installation of Ericsson’s SDH equipment on long-haul data transmission lines Astana – Petropavlovsk and Almaty – Dastyk in Kazakhstan. The overall length of the line exceeds 1500 kilometers.
